Thinking up a title I just had a flashback to being 15 years old and in a chatroom for the very first time. Of course I was bombarded with instant messages. The first one that came up said "Wanna Cyber?" I had no idea what that meant but I said "Sure!" The next thing I saw was "So uh what are you wearing?"
Anyway, this entry really is about clothes....I just got sidetracked.
This is Olivia's third week of preschool. Something I noticed from the beginning was how the moms dropping their kids off are all dressed to kill. Hair done, full face of makeup, and many of them in heels. Then there is me. On preschool days I'm getting two kids up, dressed, fed and ready for school. I put the oldest on the bus then rush to be at preschool on time. My hair is brushed but definitely not curled and aqua-netted, I wear no make-up. Clothing wise....lets just say I at least match but I'm not sporting designer blue jeans and heels for a 3 minute kid drop off. Today noticed I was being stared at. Was it the flip flops I had on or the dark circles under my eyes that were so atrocious?
So my question is.....what do you guys wear when dropping the kids off at school/preschool?

Um...I make sure I've made it through the shower (if my hair were longer, I'd just pull it up and nix the shower until later). No make-up for me and whatever I'm going to wear for the day (usually jeans or yoga pants and a t-shirt with a pair of sandals). Those poor other mommas probably have to WORK and aren't lucky enough to be able to stay home! And you know as well as I do ~ when you're in the working world, you're not YOU, you're whoever THEY want YOU to BE. :)
Maybe they're wondering why the hell you're taking your kids to daycare if being a SAHM is your JOB. ya think?
Apparently you can't read. I clearly said PRESCHOOL and NOT daycare. Ya think?
